War of the children

leave a comment »

arises as soon as it can
and sets early the sun
on the war of the children
when the day dies
and gives way to the rest
to the count of the hours
that will mark at their best
the passage of the moon
damp horror then
the muffled sound of crime
if fate didn’t intend
this time
it were a smell of death
and the life of a child
to tepid memories left

Warning

with one comment

Provocation, reaction, disproportionate retaliation. Warning, it’s the same old trap, and now the Israeli warmongers are moving in a hurry. On the one hand, the PA circulated a draft resolution at UN in order to upgrade Palestine status as observer state, on the other hand, Hamas is getting recognition from all around the Arab world. Israel is scared. The (fake) issue of Iran nukes is cooling down a bit. Obama won the election. The risk, now, is the renewed search for a solution of the conflict, just while Israel hawks were on the way to ethnic-cleanse, little by little, the whole of the occupied territories. [1][2]
Warning! There’s another cast lead crime in sight.

[1] “We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. Allon repeated his question, ‘What is to be done with the Palestinian population?’ Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said ‘Drive them out!’” (Yitzhak Rabin, July 1948, in occasion of the conquest of Lydda and Ramla)

[2] “We’ll make a pastrami sandwich of them, … we’ll insert a strip of Jewish settlements in between the Palestinians, and then another strip of Jewish settlements right across the West Bank, so that in 25 years’ time, neither the United Nations nor the United States, nobody, will be able to tear it apart.” (Ariel Sharon, 1973, talking to W. Churchill III about Zionists’ aims)

Israelism

“Palestine now for me is ’67 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This is now and forever … This is Palestine for me. I am (a) refugee, but I am living in Ramallah. I believe that (the) West Bank and Gaza is Palestine and the other parts (are) Israel.” (Mahmoud Abbas, Israeli television, November 1, 2012)

Not even the notorious bunch of Palestinian notables in the 30s (notwithstanding all their lightness and incapacity, or worse, during the British Mandate), dared sell their land as cheap as Abbas fantasizes. Is he in hope of a chair as what? Pretty disturbing the fact he’s gonna go in front of the UN, claiming he obliterates the right of return and bears in mind some 20% of the land and a smaller percentage of Palestinians for a future State. It goes without saying that he is not legitimated to sell cheap anything on behalf of the Palestinian people.
